Skilled staff and excellent facilities

The Equine College of Ypäjä is situated in south-western Finland about 130 kilometres from Helsinki and the distances to other cities like Turku and Tampere are even sorther. Ypäjä is a small countryside village with beautiful surroundings and many other leisure activities from golf to summer theatre.

The College has a dormitory for the students. It also rents its premises to customers.

The Equine College functions in an area of 300 hectares. There are stables, several riding arenas, a variety of cross-country training tracks and training roads and a full-sized trotting track. On the premises there are four riding halls, of which three are full-sized.

Some 250 horses live in the college area, both Finnhorses and other breeds. The college is running five large stables: three stables for sport horses, one stable for trotting horses, a stud for brood mares and a stallion center. There are several loose housing barns for foals of age groups between 1-3 years.

The Finnhorses are the special pride of the College. Their many abilities make them suitable for every kind of equine activity.

Many of the horses of the College compete on national level both in dressage and show jumping – but the Finnhorses are equally popular among the leisure-time riders.

To support the students and customers there are a highly professional staff, visiting top trainers and lecturers from Finland and other European countries.
